A Wichita woman was airlifted from the scene of a rollover accident in southern Chase County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Denise Townsley was northbound at Kansas Turnpike mile marker 100.4 in a 2013 Mercedes Benz shortly before 3:30 pm. The vehicle left the roadway for unlisted reasons and rolled several times before coming to a rest.
Townsley was airlifted to Wesley Medical center in Wichita with suspected serious injuries. Townsley was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Authorities are on the way to a reported injury crash in southern Chase County.
The crash was reported shortly before 3:30 pm at Kansas Turnpike mile marker 100.4 northbound, less than five miles northeast of the Matfield Green service exit and 27 miles southwest of the Emporia gate.
Early indications is one vehicle is involved in a rollover wreck. LifeSave is on standby.
