Black Friday means deals for shoppers and busy storefronts for merchants. Traffic began in the pre-dawn hours at Flinthills Mall as stores began opening up as early as 4 am. Manager Clarence Frye credited recent additions like Dunham’s Sports and Harbor Freight for broadening the appeal of the mall.
Other store openings, both at the mall and elsewhere across town, are staggered between 6-9 am.

Waters Hardware manager Shawn Finney says his store is stocked with holiday deals. Right now, a fair amount of shoppers are doing their business online.
Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply Manager Brian Wendling encouraged residents to keep their shopping — and their dollars — local.
