Before picking out their perfect viewing spot for the 45th annual Christmas Parade, residents are invited to stop by First United Methodist Church to pick up dinner.
The Emporia High School Boys wrestling team will be hosting its annual taco supper at the church, 823 Mechanic Street, beginning at 4:30 pm. Head Coach Brook Medrano says both the dinner and the wrestling team are major pieces of the Emporia community.
Medrano adds this is the team’s largest fundraiser each year and the best opportunity for the team to interact and connect with the local community.
This year the team’s ticket sales have gone completely digital with a QR code available on the team’s Facebook page. Tickets cost $12 and will get you a meal of two tacos, rice and a dessert.
