The latest vehicle tag renewal deadline is coming this week for Lyon County residents.
People with last names beginning with the letters T, V or W need to finish that process by the close of business Thursday to avoid financial penalties. Proof of insurance and a valid Kansas drivers license or ID are needed.
Residents need to handle business at the Motor Vehicle Office inside the Lyon County Courthouse. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm weekdays.
Residents can reserve their place in line without actually waiting in line through the QLess app. Residents can use the QLess app, text “Lyon County Motor Vehicle” to 620-254-9998, use the QLess kiosk outside the Motor Vehicle Office or go online to lyoncounty.org.
