More much-needed moisture is currently expected across the KVOE listening area Thursday.
The National Weather Service says an incoming storm system will give area residents a cold rain late Thursday afternoon through the evening hours. Anywhere from half an inch to an inch of rainfall is possible before the system moves away.
This follows anywhere from 5-11 inches of a heavy, wet snowfall for area residents Saturday. That rainfall brought anywhere from half an inch to over an inch of liquid equivalent, depending on the snowfall amount. The snow follows anywhere from 1-1.5 inches of rainfall Nov. 20-21.
Any rain Thursday will fall too late to have any impact on the US Drought Monitor, which posts Thursday morning. The weekly data collection deadline is on Tuesday.
