Residents are encouraged to attend a special holiday jazz concert Thursday night.
Emporia native Jack Mouse and his wife, Janice Borla, are bringing a list of world-class performers to Emporia for a free concert at the Emporia Granada Theatre beginning at 7 pm. Both were on KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Wednesday to preview the show.
The Jubilee Ringers Handbell Choir will have the pre-concert starting at 6 pm. The concert is free of charge, thanks to the generosity of John and Claudia Kretsinger, but tickets are needed — and are available at the Emporia Arts Center, 815 Commercial. The performance is also part of the Arts Center’s Performing Arts Series.
