The Emporia High boys wrestling team finished third in the Blue Jay Duals at Junction City on Saturday.
Emporia High went 2-1 in Pool B with wins over Hutchinson, 67-6 and Shawnee Mission Northwest 46-27. Shawnee Heights was the lone team to defeat the Spartans, 36-33. Emporia High defeated Olathe West, 42-21, in the third-place match.
Five Spartans finished the day with 4-0 records: Gabe Wassom (106), Sam Cole (150), Christian Trujillo (157), Tayten Ervin (165) and Fernando Arzate (215).
Emporia High will next be in action Saturday at Eudora.
