Formal charges are pending after an incident allegedly involving shots fired near Emporia on Saturday.
Lyon County deputies arrested Joseph Michael Davis, age 31, on suspicion of aggravated assault, criminal discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and domestic violence battery.
Deputy Benjamin Folks says deputies responded to 2165 Kansas Highway 99 shortly after 11:20 pm. folks says the initial call involved a domestic violence situation with a weapon “being fired several times inside the residence.” Additional details have not been divulged.
