A preliminary hearing is coming next month in a Lyon County aggravated assault case.
Joseph Michael Davis had his first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Tuesday. Judge Doug Jones set 10 am Jan. 17 for Davis’ next hearing before Judge Lee Fowler.
Davis, 31, is charged with aggravated assault, assault, criminal threat, criminal damage and domestic battery. He’s also charged with two counts of criminal damage after an alleged incident involving several shots fired inside a home in the 2100 block of Kansas Highway 99 late Saturday night.
10 am Tuesday: Formal charges filed in Lyon County shots fired case
Formal charges are now in the books against a rural Emporia man after an alleged shots fired incident this past weekend.
Joseph Michael Davis, age 31, is charged with single counts of aggravated assault, assault, criminal threat and domestic battery. He’s also charged with two counts of criminal damage.
The charges follow an alleged incident involving several shots fired inside a home in the 2100 block of Kansas Highway 99 late Saturday night.
Davis’ first court appearance is set for 1:15 pm Tuesday in Lyon County District Court.
