Seven area teams are ranked in this week’s Kansas Basketball Coaches Association’s rankings released Tuesday.
The Emporia High girls remain at No. 6 in Class 5A with a 1-0 record after a 63-35 victory over Ottawa on Friday. Emporia High opens up play in the Paul Terry Classic at 6 p.m. Thursday at White Auditorium.
Areawide, the Lebo boys are still the top-ranked team in Class 1A-Division II. The Lebo girls are still ranked second in 1A-DII. The Olpe boys are ranked fifth in Class 1A-DI, while the Olpe girls are eighth. The Lyndon boys are ranked seventh in Class 2A. The Hartford boys check into this week’s rankings at No. 9 in 1A-Division II.
