The most prolific class in Emporia State soccer history was honored by the United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday. Mackenzie Dimarco and Hannah Woolery received first team All-Central Region honors while Joanie Westcoat was voted to the second team. Dimarco finishes her career as a four-time All-Region player and was previously named All-Region by the D2CCA. Woolery also received her second All-Region honor of the season and finishes her career with back-to-back first team All-Region awards. Westcoat was a first-team honoree last season. Dimarco is the ESU record holder in points, goals, game winners, shots, and shots on goal. Woolery holds the Lady Hornet record for assists and is second in points behind only Dimarco in program history. Westcoat is second in all-time assists at ESU and is tied with Dimarco with 90 matches played for the program record. The Lady Hornets finished the year 14-6-4 and won the 2023 MIAA Tournament on the way to back-to-back appearances in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
