Three local real estate companies took up some real estate at Walmart and Bluestem Farm and Ranch supply for an annual friendly competition supporting the Salvation Army of Emporia’s Red Kettle campaign.
Representatives of Remax Ek Real Estate, Coldwell Banker Emporia Real Estate and Farm and Home, took turns manning kettles at Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply and Walmart for the annual Real Estate Wednesday challenge.
Jamie Sauder of Coldwell says not only is Real Estate Wednesday a fun time for all, but it also comes at a very important time for others.
Ek agent and owner Jeff Kitselman says giving back to the community is something he and his colleagues look forward to every year.
Farm and Home co-owner Becky Baumgardner says they are grateful to have the opportunity to be involved.
Totals from Wednesday’s bell ringing are currently pending. With Real Estate Wednesday now in the rearview, attention will shift to the annual Badges United bell-ringing event Saturday from 8 am to noon also at Bluestem and Walmart.
Once local first responders wrap up their bell-ringing Saturday, the Emporia Lions Club will man the kettles through the afternoon hours. Also during her recent appearance on KVOE’s Morning Show, Hadden noted there is a significant need for bell ringers through the remainder of the campaign.
Kettle locations include:
Walmart
Country Mart
Dillons
Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply
Goods Cashsaver
Hobby Lobby
Flint Hills Mall
