There is a change in the schedule for the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education’s normal agenda schedule for the upcoming meeting Wednesday.
Typically, executive-session evaluations for Superintendent Allison Anderson-Harder happen near the end of the regular meetings, but the first draft for Wednesday has the evaluation at the start of the meeting. The executive session follows another closed-door session for attorney consultation.
The consent agenda, where several items can be handled with one vote, includes a resolution involving a public hearing for setting a Jan. 10 public hearing date to officially close Kansas Avenue School. Bid-letting for the Emporia High roof project and several donations also be will be addressed.
In the regular agenda, board members will get the latest construction update from McCownGordon, with separate agenda items involving the guaranteed maximum price for work at William Allen White Elementary and bids for fixtures, furniture and equipment at Riverside and Timmerman schools. The board’s pending policy on non-resident student enrollment could also be passed.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm at Mary Herbert Education Center.
