USD 251 North Lyon County school board members will get several reports during their regular meeting Wednesday, including one on professional development.
The plan involves goals in several categories, including curriculum and instruction, student development, school improvement and professionalism. It also works through various license requirements and mentoring plans at the teacher, specialist, building leader and district leader levels. The plan was approved by the Kansas State Board of Education and is current.
Separately, board members will get the regular reports on finances, legislative matters and capital outlay. There are also two executive sessions planned, one on student matters and one on personnel.
The meeting starts at 7 pm Wednesday at the board office in Americus.
