Emporia’s First Church of the Nazarene will be hosting its annual Live Nativity Scene this weekend.
The live nativity will be available for viewing starting Friday night and will conclude Saturday evening at the church located at 2931 West 24th. Church member Everett Weems says they are currently in the process of putting the final touches on the various scene structures.
The nativity will run from 6 pm to 9 pm each night. The live nativity is free to attend, however, free will canned food and monetary donations will be accepted for the Salvation Army of Emporia.
This will be the fifth rendition of the live nativity and Church Pastor Paul Meinke says the process will be much of the same as in years past.
Residents will enter the church grounds off of Industrial and make their way on to 24th where Emporia Police will direct traffic.
