Two Osage County men and a Franklin County man were arrested near Lyndon this week on suspicion of illegal drug activity, interference with law enforcement and trafficking contraband.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrests of Marvin McWhorter, Dustin Smith and Philip Guyle Jr on Monday night followed an alleged traffic violation on US Highway 75 near Lyndon. A deputy handled a traffic stop, and Wells says the deputy found illegal narcotics during the investigation.
Guyle, age 29 of Lyndon, was arrested on suspicion of trafficking contraband in an unspecified correctional facility and two unspecified arrest warrants. Smith, age 36 of Richmond, was arrested on suspicion of interference with law enforcement and an unspecified arrest warrant. McWhorter, age 63 of Quenemo, was arrested on suspicion of possessing both methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
