An Emporia truck driver escaped injury as part of a wreck that killed two people in Marion County on Wednesday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened on US Highway 56 between Lincolnville and Marion about 11:10 am. Troopers say a car driven by 43-year-old Jessica Henson of Wamego was driving through a KDOT work zone and failed to stop. The car rear-ended a stopped semi and trailer driven by 21-year-old Trevor Stevens of Emporia.
Stevens wasn’t hurt, but Henson and an unlisted juvenile were both killed. Other details are pending.
