Two Emporia-based entities, one a nonprofit and one a university department are getting Leadership Transformation Grant funding through the Kansas Leadership Center.
KLC this week announced grants for CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness as well as Emporia State University’s Honors College. Totals by agency have not been announced.
The Leadership Center has been giving grant funds to “civically-engaged organizations” the past nine years. Selected organizations establish a core team of three to six people for using the KLC Path for leadership, including recognizing leadership is an activity instead of a position; discovering new ways to communicate and solve issues; and advanced, “immersive” leadership training.
Nearly 100 organizations across Kansas are receiving funding through the program for 2024.
