New Family Preservation Services contracts have been approved by the Kansas Department for Children and Families.
TFI Family Services, which has offered family protection services since 2005, is getting $3.3 million, includig almost $1.85 million for the southwest region involving Emporia, Hutchinson and Dodge City. The remaining $1.5 million goes for the northwest region, including Hays and Salina.
Also, DCCCA is receiving $4 million for work in and around Kansas City and Wichita. Cornerstones of Care is receiving $3.9 million for the northeast region including Topeka and the southeast region including Pittsburg.
DCF Secretary Laura Howard says the new contracts will go from July 2024-2028, with an optional renewal for two additional years.
Family Preservation focuses its services on families with at least one child at risk of out-of-home placements.
