Emporia State students proudly celebrated their degrees Friday and Saturday.
So did President Ken Hush, who tells KVOE News the university’s ongoing transformation is obvious — in part because of demolition underway ahead of new construction.
Hush says Emporia State’s process the last two years has three main partners in mind so progress is sustainable.
Also speaking was Regent Cindy Lane, who has worked with ESU administrators throughout the last two years. She sees the transformation had a “difficult climb,” with the dismissal of over 30 faculty and staff coupled with several reconfigurations of programs and colleges, but things are moving up now.
ESU conferred degrees on nearly 700 students this weekend.
