The final days of the holiday shopping season are here and there’s some helpful tips you should be aware of.
Emporia Police Captain Ray Mattas joined KVOE’s Morning Show Monday giving some last minute advice.
Mattas says time is winding down for packages to be delivered to homes. If you have packages coming to your home, Mattas says there’s a few options you can consider. If you’re not going to be home, have the packages delivered to your work, if allowed, or even have your neighbors be on the look out for them just to name a few.
Mattas also talked about credit fraud and check forgery. Mattas says there’s an uptick in check forgeries and credit fraud happens to everyone whenever there’s an online purchase.
Mattas says if you see a purchase that you did not make, be sure to protect your information, and communicate with your financial institutions.
