Departing Lady Hornet soccer players Mackenzie Dimarco and Hannah Woolery have left a legacy of excellence on the field. They’re also leaving one off it by becoming back-to-back Academic All-Americans. They received the honor from the College Sports Communicators this week. Dimarco was named to the first team while Woolery received second team honors. Both players helped lead the Lady Hornets back to the NCAA Tournament and helped the program win its second MIAA Tournament championship in the last three years this season. Dimarco departed the program as its all-time leading goal and points scorer and also holds MIAA records in both categories. Woolery wraps up her career as ESU’s program leader in career assists. Emporia State finished the year 14-6-4 with an 8-2-1 conference record while advancing to the Sweet 16
