An Emporia woman has been arrested on charges of drug possession following a traffic stop in Osage County Thursday.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a deputy conducted the stop at Interstate 35 milepost 163 at 1 am for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, the deputy reportedly located narcotics in a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Christine E. Shear of Emporia.
Shear was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, endangering a child, driving with a suspended license and an unspecified arrest warrant. Formal charges are pending.
Shear is being held in the Osage County Jail at last word.
