Another year and another merry Christmas for SOS courtesy of Kari’s Diamonds and KVOE.
The annual Kari’s Christmas Ring for Kids fundraiser had its grand finale Saturday afternoon at the local business. This year’s fundraiser managed to raise more than $3,500 to support the work of SOS in the local community.
SOS Director Connie Cahoone says that money will go a long way towards helping them serve local children year-round.
This will be the final year of Kar’s Christmas Ring for Kids with Cahoone at the helm of SOS as she is set to retire this upcoming spring. With that in mind, Kari’s owner Kari Calhoun took a moment Saturday to offer her thanks to Cahoone for all she has done over the years.
Calhoun added she and her staff are always proud to be a part of supporting SOS year after year.
The winner of this year’s grand prize, a three-quarter-carat round princess emerald pear oval diamond ring set in 10-carat yellow gold, was Bev Long. Long stopped in to pick up the prize saying it was the “perfect fit.”
Long adds, that any time she has the opportunity to support the work of SOS she is happy to do so.
