The Emporia Public Library has found a way to highlight local authors with its new Kansas Authors Collection.
The collection includes historical fiction, nonfiction, poetry and young adult materials. If you’re on the hunt, Library Director Pauline Stacchini says there are a couple of ways you can find those books and other materials.
Stacchini also says there are an increasing number of Kansas writers wanting to be part of this specific area, so the library has developed a review process for potential additions. Part of the review deals with simple logistics.
Other parts of the review include when the book was published and whether the topic is of interest to a range of readers.
