Halfway to Everywhere is expanding its presence across the state of Kansas come 2024.
H2E Inc. Director Hank Osterhout, a guest of KVOE’s Morning Show Wednesday, had several announcements to make including that the annual music and arts festival will be adding three additional locations next year.
Osterhout says there is a date range for the three new festivals but nothing is set in stone as of yet. On top of its expansion elsewhere, Osterhout says several changes are coming for the original festival in Emporia starting with the duration of the event.
Additionally starting with the 2024 signature event, the festival will no longer be free to attend due to the festival’s expansion and additional costs associated with putting it on each year. The 2024 Halfway to Everywhere Music and Arts Festival in Emporia will still take place on Labor Day weekend, however, residents will not have to wait until then to get a taste of the talent associated with the event.
H2E will be hosting a Halfway to Halfway concert at the Emporia Granada Theatre in March featuring That One Guy who was one of the featured performers at the first Halfway festival back in 2019.
