Plan approval, purchase cancelations and board appointments were highlights from the Lyon County Commission’s final action meeting of the calendar year Thursday morning.
Commissioners unanimously approved adoption of the solid waste management plan for Lyon and Chase counties and the city of Emporia. Approval of a cancelation of a purchase order to Motorola Solutions for $58,650 and the rescinding of a motion from October 5 for camera equipment for $6,538, also from Motorola Solutions, also saw approval.
Commissioners also approved the appointment of Jason Birk, Larry Browning, Aaron Conrade, Josh Duft, Gene Jackson, Larry Milroy, Trevin Ginter, Brodie Peak and Chris Phillips to the Lyon County Fair Board. Those terms are set to expire in December of 2026.
Commissioners will reconvene for their regular action meeting next Thursday, January 4 at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
