The Lee Beran Recreation Center’s new GolfZon simulator will open to the public Tuesday.
That’s according to ERC Sports Supervisor Rick Cunningham who joined KVOE’s Talk of Emporia Friday. Cunningham says they are very excited for the opening of the simulator but asks residents to have patience as this is a new venture and one they expect to come with some “growing pains.”
The new simulator comes with several features including the ability for local golfers to practice their game on some of the most notable golf courses in the world.
The simulator also has several arcade-style games, similar to what you may experience at Top Golf according to Cunningham, and adjustable settings to accommodate all levels of skill. The simulator will be open to the public every day and can be rented hourly with the cost being $25 per hour Monday through Thursday and $35 per hour Friday through Sunday.
With the opening of the simulator, the Lee Beran Recreation Center becomes the first and only Kansas rec center to offer the amenity to the public according to Cunningham.
Registration will open on Tuesday, an exact time has yet to be announced. If you would like more information, or to register for a time slot beginning Tuesday, visit EmporiaRec.org and find the ERC indoor golf tab under the amenities menu.
