A multi-agency investigation into an alleged burglary at Waverly Lumber has led to some positive results.
The Coffey County Sheriff’s Office says it has been able to identify possible suspects as part of an effort involving the Franklin and Osage county sheriff’s offices. Besides determining suspects, the investigation has led to roughly 90 percent of the allegedly stolen property being recovered, including vehicles, trailers, power equipment, tools and other items.
Work continues to develop leads and arrest those responsible. Authorities say names will not be released until the investigation is done.
The burglary was reported in late December, closing the store for several days. The store is set to reopen Tuesday.
