The investigation continues into the seizure of several allegedly illegal gaming machines from an Emporia convenience store last year.
Five machines were taken from what used to be the BP store at Sixth and Prairie back in May, along with an ATM and an unspecified amount of cash.
Randy Evans, the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission’s government relations manager, says no arrests have been made and investigators are not yet ready to turn the case over to prosecutors — but he also tells KVOE News these investigations can take significant periods of time before they are resolved.
