A pair of financial requests and a pair of change orders gained approval from Lyon County Commissioners during their regular action meeting Thursday morning.
Commissioners first approved a request from Lyon County Emergency Communications Manager Roxy Van Gundy and Lyon County Emergency Management Director Jarod Fell to pay an invoice of more than $73,000 to the Kansas 911 Coordinating Council for 911 call handling. Commissioners also approved a quote from Hayden Tower Inspection Repair for work on the Olpe and Allen towers totaling more than $15,000.
Assistant Lyon County Engineer Jim Brull submitted a pair of change orders, one for the installation of independent gas shutoff valves and the other to relocate an ice maker connection elevation within Highway Department buildings A and B for just over $5,400 and $600 respectively. Commissioners also approved a resolution to waive the GAAP requirements in Kansas Statute 75-1120.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene for their weekly action meeting next Thursday at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
