Emporia has already seen one restaurant shut down this month. Another will close next month.
Chi Em Eats says it is closing Feb. 17 “with a heavy heart,” adding, “Life has taken us in another direction with new opportunities so we decided not to renew our lease.”
Chi Em Eats has been providing Vietnamese dishes in downtown Emporia for nearly five years. The social media post says the goal was always to introduce “our flavor” to the area.
Chi Em Eats’ closing follows the sudden closure of Shanghai Restaurant earlier this month.
