A Franklin County man is dead after a wreck early Friday in Coffey County.
The wreck happened on Kansas Highway 31 less than half a mile west of Verdue Road just before 7 am. Coffey County Sheriff Tom Johnson says 34-year-old Alex Higbie of Pomona was driving a truck when the vehicle rolled an unlisted number of times. Higbie was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Snowfall areawide caused numerous crashes, including a handful of injury wrecks, later Friday, but roads in that part of Coffey County were dry at the time.
