No damage was reported after a minor earthquake in eastern Marion County on Thursday.
The quake was reported near Kansas Highway 150 about seven miles northwest of Cedar Point and almost 40 miles west-southwest of Emporia. Registering 2.5 on the Richter scale, it only generated weak shaking responses in Marion, Strong City and Kansas City when it developed just before 5 pm.
There were no injuries.
