Funeral arrangements have been announced for longtime KVOE Nuestra Musica host Vic Rodriguez.
Services will take place Jan. 19. There will be a rosary at 11 am at Saint Catherine Catholic Church that morning, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Inurnment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Rodriguez died Dec. 13 at his home at age 55. He was the only host in Nuestra Musica’s 30-year history. He was also an accomplished drummer and was a founder of the Las Casitas Association, a local organization dedicated to celebrating the contributions and cultures of the Hispanic community. He was also a driving force behind the Amanda Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fund, honoring the memory of his sister, who died during the COVID-19 pandemic.
