A preliminary hearing is coming later this month in an Emporia drug distribution case.
Caden Hunt was initially set for a motion hearing this past Wednesday, but the hearing was canceled after prosecutors withdrew a motion to continue, or delay, the proceedings. The prelim will be at 2 pm Jan. 24.
Hunt was arrested in late November and subsequently charged with distributing cocaine, LSD, marijuana, cannabinoids and psilocybin — 15 counts in all — following a nearly monthlong investigation by Emporia Police. Hunt, a former member of Emporia State’s Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, was dismissed shortly after he was arrested.
