The Emporia Granada Theatre is set to kick off 2024 with a regular to the Granada stage.
Emporia native Kelley Hunt will be performing on Saturday January 20th at 7 p.m. The show will feature Hunt and her acoustic quintet.
Emporia Granada Executive Director Stacey Schneider, a recent guest on KVOE’s Morning Show, says Hunt enjoys coming home and returning to a venue where she went to many times when it was a movie theatre.
Prior to her concert, Hunt will be putting on a vocal workshop with Emporia High School choir director Sarah Bays.
Schneider also encourages community members to help support the theatre by becoming a Friend of the Granada, giving a donation or buying a ticket to a concert. The Granada relies on donations, the generosity and support from community members.
The Granada is set to host two more shows over the next couple months. On February 16, country singer Ty Herndon will perform. On March 23, the Liverpool Legends, a Beatles tribute band from Missouri, will perform to celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Beatles. Both shows will start at 7 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online at emporiagranada.com, by visiting the box office at 805 Commercial or by calling (620) 342-3342.
