Two Emporia school district teachers have been recognized for their level of work in the classroom.
The Kansas State Department of Education says Riverside adaptive special education teacher Blair Conley and Emporia Middle School theater teacher Allison Jones have been named as Horizon Award recipients.
Eligible teachers must have completed their first year of teaching and demonstrated outstanding skills in the classroom. Honorees will be recognized at the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network’s state education conference Feb. 23 in Topeka.
