A Council Grove man was arrested on suspicion of drug-related activity right before the year ended.
A news release from the Morris County Drug Enforcement Unit indicates Morris County deputies had a traffic stop on a pickup for an allegedly defective headlight the evening of Dec. 30. Deputies also deployed the Morris County K-9 Kimber for what’s called a free-air sniff, and Kimber alerted to the possibility of illegal drugs in the truck.
Deputies did a probable cause search, finding marijuana, what they say was methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms and paraphernalia. Officers then arrested 38-year-old Daniel Clift on suspicion of possessing several kinds of drugs and paraphernalia.
