This week, Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church begins an ambitious community service project.
The church debuts its Senior Meals project, and Pastor Kent Happel says this will be a good way to bring people together.
Happel says conversations have been underway for several months. Meals will be on the first and third Wednesdays of each month for seniors ages 60 and over. Cost is $5 a meal. RSVPs are requested by calling the church office at 620-342-5850 between 9 am and noon the day before the meal.
Most residents are asked to enter the building on the north side of the church building, but handicapped accessibility is available through the south entrance.
