Osage and Franklin county authorities battled a destructive house fire in Lyndon this past weekend.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says there was a report of a possible house fire at 329 West Ninth in Lyndon shortly before 8 am Sunday. Deputies arrived shortly after the call, forced entry and alerted the occupants — getting all of them out from the home safely.
Wells says fire crews from four Osage County districts and Franklin County’s Northwest Fire District battled the fire for several hours in subzero air temperatures and “wind chill values much lower.”
The house was a total loss. A cause has not been listed.
