Three separate criminal cases against an Emporia man are moving forward simultaneously next month.
Alejandro Lara-Ceja has preliminary hearings coming Feb. 8.
Lara-Ceja faces 13 different counts after an alleged chase in Lyon County in late November, including flee and elude, distribution of both marijuana and methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and criminal possession of at least five guns by a felon.
In addition, Lara-Ceja faces five counts of aggravated violations of the state’s offender registration act for alleged failure to comply at times between July 2021 and June 2023. Lara-Ceja is also charged separately with unlawful tampering with electronic monitoring equipment after an alleged incident in late August.
