A sentencing date is now on the Lyon County docket in an alleged shooting incident near Emporia from December.
As part of a preliminary hearing this month, Joseph Michael Davis accepted a plea for one count of aggravated assault. Besides aggravated assault, Davis had been charged with assault, criminal threat, criminal damage and domestic battery after an alleged shots fire incident in the 2100 block of Kansas Highway 99 last month. Those charges were dismissed.
Sentencing will be at 9 am March 1.
