CareArc is ending a 10-year chapter in its history with the upcoming closure of its Eureka Health Center next month.
CareArc has scheduled the closing for Feb. 29. The agency says its decision was rooted in financial hardships with decreasing population numbers, what it calls “ongoing recruitment difficulties” for dentists and other providers and a saturated healthcare market in Eureka.
The health center in Eureka started in 2014 through grant funding and has been offering medical, dental and behavioral health services for residents in Greenwood and Woodson counties since then.
CareArc says it will help patients using the Eureka facility transition to the Emporia location so their care can continue uninterrupted.
