Lyon County Emergency Communications will be hosting a special academy next month.
The 911derWomen Academy will take place February 6th and 7th at the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building. The event is meant to provide attendees with the tools necessary to grow and foster their career in the field of 911.
To accomplish this, the conference will on several areas including improvement, promotion, tools, skills and inspiration according to a news release from LCECC. The academy will also include several speakers including LCECC Director Roxanne Van Gundy.
The other speakers include:
*Karima Holmes – 911derWomen Board member, Vice President of Public Safety for Carbyne and former head of the Office of Unified Communications in Washington DC.
*Andrea King-Smith – Customer Engagement Lead, Carbyne.
*Samantha Hawkins – Trainer for Moetivations
*Sara Weston – Founder of 911derWomen
*Col. Brenda Dietzman – Wayfinder Consulting and former Sedgwick Co Undersheriff.
*Dawn Shumway – Ada County Idaho Communications Manager and Instructor for the Denise Amber Lee Foundation.
