As dense fog advisories return to the KVOE listening area Wednesday night, a different travel issue is affecting the Admire area.
The Lyon County Highway Department says Road P-5 is closed between US Highway 56 and Admire due to water over the road.
Lyon County has seen light to moderate rainfall Wednesday evening. This also comes as a longstanding snowpack from several snow events earlier this month is finally melting.
Meanwhile, all area counties are now in line for a third straight night and morning of dense fog advisories. Area counties are included between 9 pm Wednesday and noon Thursday. As has been the case early Tuesday and again early Wednesday, visibility may be a quarter-mile or less. Temperatures will hover just above freezing, but there could be isolated travel issues due to slick spots on bridges, overpasses and other elevated surfaces.
