Funeral services have been announced for 35-year-old Adam Tebben, the Emporia native killed in a medical helicopter crash in Oklahoma this past weekend.
Services will be at 10 am Wednesday at Victory Fellowship Church in Emporia. Burial and full honors by the Kansas State Funeral Assistance Team will take place afterward at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at Victory Fellowship from 6:30-8:30 pm Tuesday.
Tebben and two other Air Evacuation Lifeteam crew members were killed Saturday when their helicopter went down near Weatherford, Oklahoma. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
Tebben attended several Emporia schools before switching to USD 284 Chase County for middle school and high school. He received a bachelor’s degree from Baker University and a separate bachelor’s from Emporia State. He was also involved in several nursing groups, including the American Nurses Association, Emergency Nurses Association, Kansas State Nursing Association and National Student Nursing Association.
