Emporia native Adam Tebben will be laid to rest Wednesday.
Before his funeral services, a ground transport detail made a procession from Oklahoma to Emporia’s Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home with Tebben’s remains Saturday afternoon. The procession included Emporia Fire, Emporia Police, Lyon County deputies, Kansas Highway Patrol, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, GMR Honor Guard and AMR.
Tebben, a flight nurse with Air Evac Lifeteam, and two fellow crew members were killed in a medical helicopter crash near Weatherford, Oklahoma, on Jan. 20.
A celebration of life will be at 10 am Wednesday at Victory Fellowship Church in Emporia. Burial and full honors by the Kansas State Funeral Assistance Team will take place afterward at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery. There will be a processional from Roberts-Blue-Barnett to Victory Fellowship for the funeral and to Maplewood Memorial Lawn for the burial.
Visitation will be at Victory Fellowship from 6:30-8:30 pm Tuesday.
