For the 4th time in the last 5 seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs are AFC Champions after holding off the Baltimore Ravens on the road 17-10 to win the Lamar Hunt Trophy. After making a stop, the Chiefs started the scoring in the first quarter on a spectacular throw and catch from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce, but the Ravens answered with a Zay Flowers 30 yard reception from Lamar Jackson to tie the game at seven. Isaiah Pacheco rammed in a 2-yard TD in the 2nd quarter and Harrison Butker tied the record for the most 50-yard postseason FG’s in postseason history with a 52-yard kick to put the Chiefs up 17-7 at the half. The only score in the second half was a 43-yard Justin Tucker field goal with less than 3 minutes to play. The Ravens had two end-zone turnovers including a Jackson interception and a Flowers fumble. Mahomes threw for 241 yards and a score while Kelce caught 11 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs head to Super Bowl LVIII to face the 49ers who rallied from 17 points down to beat the Detroit Lions to win the NFC Championship in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV Sunday, February 11.
