The Emporia Friendship Center is needing drivers.
Manager Gwen Burenheide says the center needs both regular and backup drivers at this time.
Burenheide says January has been a struggle because of the brutal cold, snow and ice that happened for much of the month. The Friendship Center had to cancel deliveries several times due to the weather conditions and the safety risks for drivers.
Residents can call 620-340-8001 if interested. Drivers need to use their own vehicle for the deliveries.
